I still have the little plan on a page I created back in 2023 with ‘launch, end of 2023’. Adorable. So naive.

R&D this time around has been much trickier than it ever was with Ethique. Although in saying that, I did set several microwaves on fire creating various shampoo bars and as far as I know we’ve not had any flagrations making iballs. Early days though…

Taste is so personal and subjective that you cannot please everyone (you may have seen my reaction when I tried the tonic), the green chemistry that makes our balls stable is brand new and keeps throwing up fun little quirks, and if one more supplier says ‘oh, we could just wrap it in plastic to be safe’ I might go totally bonkers.

But we’re there. Well, no doubt there will be constant tweaks and changes based on your feedback so we’re not there, there, but I am very happy with our first four flavours and looking forward to seeing what you think. (I am incredibly nervous for them to be finally out there, but the worst thing that will happen is you all hate them and I have to go and live alone in a cabin on a mountain somewhere for the rest of my life and that could be ok.)

Of course a launch is not a launch without a party.

We’re planning something pretty Incrediball at a great venue in Ōtautahi Christchurch and you’re all invited. Unfortunately (fortunately?) there are a few thousand of you and as the new stadium isn’t open quite yet, there is a limit on numbers. So make sure you let us know if you want to be there (link below) as we’ll be sending out more info in a week or two.

Those of you around the rest of the motu, we have not forgotten you! We will be hosting some events around and about but where very much depends on you.

This is the last time you’ll hear from us here for 2025, so as always, a huge thank you for hanging in there and being so patient with us. Next year it’s all go!

I promise it’ll be worth it. I can’t wait for you to see the flavours coming up, and the range we are launching middle of the year… But we can spill all the tea about that another time 👀
